"Neiges Etoilées" is a big gastronomic festival with as a main time a coockery challenge.
It will take place from 25 to 27 January 2012 and will group together a large number of culinary actors around a cooking competition and diverse animations on the theme of gastronomy.
The event proposes various facets to answer to the tastes and to the waits of all, for the youngerst and the oldest. By the variety, Neiges Etoilées is as original as innovative and has for objective to make discover the local cooking and the professional cooking to the public.
This event will gather French-Swiss chefs of the Portes du Soleil and of the Lake Geneva's banks which will be in confrontation during a culinary challenge where they can choose to highlight their talents and their originality, either with the theme of the burbot of the Lake Geneva and the cheese soufflé, or with the theme of the beef filet and the matafan. The whole under the warned eye of personalities stemming from the world of the gastronomy.
The sponsor of this second edition is Régis Marcon, 3 Michelin stars, who will also be foreman of the jury of the cookery competition. In this task he will be supported by Claude Legras (2 Michelin stars and MOF), Stéphane Reynaud (owner and the chef of the restaurant VILLA 9 THREE in Montreuil), Didier Galopin (technical director Catering school of Thonon, MOF) and Jennifer Segui (Swiss magazine Femina) and Alexis Olivier (TV 8 Mont Blanc).
Other personalities of the gastronomy will be also present for the event and will lead the diverse workshops, the conferences, dedications sessions namely: Sonia Ezgulian, Emmanuel Auger, Noëlle Bittner, Mercotte, Fabrice Bonnot, Emmanuel Lebled, Philippe Quintin...
Without forgetting a greedy market to try some sweetnesses... and bars with delicacies.
Among the numerous meetings of the festival, the “frosted” breakfast will doubtless be an unforgettable experience for all. Just imagine having breakfast at the top of the slopes with a fantastic view over the village of Châtel, prepared by a chef and served on a bar made of snow!
For these three days, your papillae will not miss to be exhilarated by the numerous tastings which will be proposed to you, but also and especially during the evening / gala dinner of Friday evening!
