A rendez vous you cannot miss !
The Belle Dimanche is the high pasture and farmers' s festival. As every year it take place in Plaine Dranse where all day long, farmers and cattles are mixing with tradesmen, musicians and folk's bands, for the pleasure of youngest and oldest.
Program:
In the morning:
From 9h30 : Arrival of the farmers with their cattle.
10h: Begining of Cattle judging concourse.
11h: Open-air mass
12h: Welcome drink .
All day long :
From 9h30: Abondance cheese making,bell market, Traditionnal crafts :wood-turning, woodcarving, uhpholstering (such as basket weaving, dove carving, engraving...). Entertainment with folk bands, brass band and Alpine horns. Special entertainment for children. Helicopter rides from Col de Bassachaux with Mont Blanc Hélicoptère....
Food and drinks
16h: Cattle judging concourse awarding.
Access:
Access to the festival is possible walking, by Pré-la-Joux chairlift or by shuttles. Cars are not allowed !
All day long you can use for free the shuttles and chairlift to reach Plaine-Dranse: 2 buses will run from the village to Pré-la-Joux, 2 others will run from Pré-la-Joux to Plaine-Dranse and one from Plaine-Dranse to Col de Bassachaux.The little train will run from Très-les-Pierres to Pré-la-Joux. The Pierre-Longue chairlift will be open from 8h to 19h.
