The Ski Memory spectacle is the first cultural one explaining 4 000 years of skiing and offering an extraordinary trip in the time.
Châtel Evénements, the ski instructors of the French Ski School, the Tourist Office, the Lifts Main Office and the Town Hall representatives gather to present a very nice spectacle which gives a special taste of quality and conviviality to the evening feast events of the resort all the winter long.
The Linga stadium is lightened and becomes an outdoor theatre with technicians and staffs working on the sides of the slope… Then, people come attracted by the lights, the music to enjoy the event…
It is a magic tale in which 50 skiing actors, all of them are ski instructors, move in a period of time of 4 000 years! Costumes belonging to that time, equipments dating of another age, techniques of yesterday are parts of this story which is shown with so nice lights network and fireworks effects that the public is lead to a great emotion.
These 50 skiing actors are decided to make people know the history of skiing as a real cultural heritage. Coming from the work of Yves Ballu, the scenario explains as a magic tale the history of skiing from the more ancient time until the latest ways of skiing of the 2000 years. The spectacle has 16 parts in which skiing actors behave as a ballet on a snow stadium. These 16 parts are completed by the current period…

A story of passion....
Performing:
Actors have learned espacially for the show all the technics used for skiing since 4000 years, the technics which have brought ski from a way of surviving into a mondern sport-leisure.
Fashion:
The actors are wearing costumes corresponding to the different times mentionned in each stage. These costumes have been made exactly as in the past. Wool, leather, fear, all those noble materials have been used for this fashion show out of time.
The technic :
SKI MEMORY will light up the mountain with thousand lights. Follow spots, special effects will give to the show a fairy size.
The narrator voice, the musical effects will be upgrated to perfection of sound in space thanks to the "holophonique" system.
